Fun facts about food enzymes:
What types of enzymes do you sell:
Wildzyme sells pectinase, protease, alpha amylase, beta-amylase, lipase, hemicellulase, oxidase and more. These enzymes generally break large molecules into smaller molecules, e.g., covert starch to maltose syrup.

Can you help me get enzymes not listed on your site?
- Yes. Wildzyme offers proprietary formulations designed to maximize efficiency in common food and industrial processing scenarios. We have the flexibility and willingness to help with any specialized needs you have. A good example is barley beta-amylase (BBA) which has recently disappeared from the market. We have viable alternatives to barley beta-amylase (BBA) which we have successfully applied to help our customers.
Do you sell food processing enzymes?
- Yes. Wildzyme specializes in food and beverage enzymes but can also assist with other Industrial enzyme procurement. We specialize in enzymes for fruit juice, wine and grain beverages such as oat milk and rice milk.
- Wildzyme sells Sumizyme brand fungal enzymes, manufactured by Shin Nihon of Japan. We also sell the bacterial enzymes of Enmex of Mexico and the plant enzymes of Enzybel of Belgium. Enzyme products from these ethical manufacturers have been used for decades in food processing and other industrial applications.
Are Wildzyme products derived from genetically modified organisms (GMO)?
- NO. This makes our enzymes distinctly different from the majority of commercially available industrial enzymes on the market today. In addition the non-enzyme components in our formulations are carefully chosen from non-GMO sources. Please contact us for details about the formulation ingredients we use.
What does Non-GMO mean?
- In our case non-GMO means NOT derived using recombinant DNA techniques, including all types of cloning, e.g., homologous cloning (self-cloning), heterologous cloning and protein engineering.
What is an enzyme?
- Enzymes are large proteins found in all living things. They accelerate, or catalyze, biological and chemical reactions. Enzymes are known to be present in thousands of biochemical reactions and have been used by humans in fermentation since ancient Egypt.
Fun facts about food enzymes:
- Enzymes in flour help bread rise, and keeps bread fresh for longer. Enzymes cause milk to coagulate in cheesemaking. Adding enzymes to dairy products aids in digestion allows creation of dairy for lactose-intolerant individuals.
